Finding the right medication can involve trying more than one before something fits. Genetic information is one more piece of evidence your clinician can weigh alongside your history, symptoms and how you have responded to treatment in the past.
GeneSight testing is a clinician-ordered test. If you think it may be useful, raise it at your appointment and we will talk through whether it makes sense for you and what your insurance covers.
A note on what this test does and does not do. GeneSight does not diagnose any condition and does not tell you which medication you should take. It provides information your clinician can use as part of a wider clinical picture. Never start, stop or change a medication without speaking to your prescriber.
